Day 9 - Bye bye Los Angeles

Alan's writing this entry again, although it was another day where not much happened. Sarah's absolute load of bollocks comments are in red.

We slept in again this morning so missed our breakfast for the second day running. Maybe we could sell our spare vouchers to some hungry passers-by. We enjoyed our slice of pizza at Sony studios last night so we wandered down the street to get some pizza for an early lunch. We were somewhat silly in buying 2 large pizzas as they're absolutely huge and we only managed to finish half of each. Well we didn't need to think about something for dinner then anyway.

We had to return to Walmart this afternoon. I bought my electric noggin shaver over with us but when I plugged it in all it did was make a sad low whirring noise because the voltage was too low to make it work. Greg, my brother-in-law had suggested that hotels offer a power conversion in the bathroom.  That must be for the rich people hotels, not the ones we stay in.  I found one at Walmart for only $10 so hopefully that should do the job ok. We made it back safely without geting lost on the entire trip this time. Woohoo. Yes, I was shocked too.

An afternoon trip to Disneyland was on the cards so we wandered over there for the last time for goodness knows how many years. The crowds were busy again being a Saturday so we were standing around in queues most of the time. Maybe we'll get on the Finding Nemo submarine ride next time we visit here.

We then ventured across to California Adventure for the evening in order to get some night photos. We had a ride on the Grizzly river rapids but it was starting to get a bit cool after that so we said goodbye to one of our favourite rides. (We all know what a wuss Sarah can be when it comes to the cold).  He was squealing like a little girl when the wind was on his back and refused to even look at the water after that.

I took a ride on the Screamin coaster while Sarah took some photos but after I got off she gestured to me to go round for another ride so I did. I don't mind, it's kind of fun. He got so excited when I gestured for him to go again, he skipped along, again like a little girl.  She got some really great long exposure night shots. We walked through the park for one last time stopping to take more photos of the waterfall and geysers.  Again, he squealed like a little girl when he saw the photos of the waterfall on the long exposure.  So then it was goodbye to California Adventure, probably forever as it will most likely be gone by the next time we get back over here.

Back to our room for pizza and wait for Ray who hasn't turned up yet. It's 11.45pm so hopefully he won't be arriving now. I'm in my pyjamas.

Trivia for the day: You don't have to be disabled to hire a motorized cart at Disneyland. Any lazy person can hire one and in doing so bypass all queues to get to the front of the line for rides, along with all their friends and family.
